SenseBook Privacy Policy

This policy explains how sensesoma handles information for SenseBook, including the public web app at soulbook.live and account sign-in through Google.

Who We Are

SenseBook is operated by sensesoma. SenseBook is an interactive book for reflective reading, self-inquiry, private writing, and careful conversation.

Information We Collect

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication provider identifier when you sign in with Google or another provider.
  • Reader content you choose to create, such as reflections, answers, notes, comments, questions, and visibility choices.
  • Subscription and payment status from payment providers if paid access is offered. We do not receive full payment card numbers.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, feature events, cookies, local storage, and server logs.
  • Messages you send to us, including support requests and email communication.

How We Use Information

  • To create, authenticate, and maintain your SenseBook account.
  • To save your reading progress, private responses, visibility choices, and community interactions.
  • To provide subscriptions, support, security, abuse prevention, and service notifications.
  • To understand whether the product is working correctly and improve reliability, accessibility, and user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Google Sign-In and Google User Data

If you choose Google sign-in, SenseBook requests basic Google account information needed for authentication: your name, email address, profile image, and Google account ID. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or other private Google services.

  • We use Google user data only to sign you in, identify your account, prevent duplicate accounts, and send important account-related messages.
  • We do not sell Google user data.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, credit eligibility, or unrelated profiling.
  • We do not use Google user data or private SenseBook content to train public AI models.
  • We transfer Google user data only to service providers that help us operate SenseBook, when required by law, for security purposes, or with your explicit consent.

You can review or revoke SenseBook access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

AI and Service Providers

Some SenseBook features may process text you submit through infrastructure, analytics, authentication, payment, email, hosting, storage, or AI service providers. These providers are used to operate the product and are expected to handle data only for the services they provide to us.

We do not sell private reader content. Private responses are not made public unless you choose to share them through a product feature.

When Information Is Shared

  • With other readers only when you choose to publish, comment, join a shared space, or otherwise make content visible.
  • With service providers that host, secure, analyze, deliver, or support SenseBook.
  • When necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or enforce our Terms.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections for user information.

Retention and Deletion

We keep account information and reader content for as long as needed to provide SenseBook, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and keep reliable backups. You may request deletion of your account and associated content by emailing hi@sensesoma.xyz.

Some records may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, payment records, or legal records where retention is necessary.

Your Choices

  • You can update or delete content inside the product where those controls are available.
  • You can choose whether a response stays private or is shared when sharing features are available.
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in the message or by contacting us.
  • You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information by contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password or secure sign-in method and keep access to your email account protected.

Children

SenseBook is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to SenseBook, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

International Processing

SenseBook may be operated through service providers in different countries. By using SenseBook, you understand that information may be processed where we and our providers operate, subject to applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy as SenseBook changes. If an update is material, we will provide notice through the product, by email, or by another reasonable method.
